Hot Doggin’ in the Heat

DENVER , Auraria Campus – A record-breaking hot day like on June 28, conjures up thoughts of swimming pools, baseball games and barbecues. If you’re on campus and can’t dive into your pool to cool off, embrace the season by enjoying a hot dog, like some summer students.

feet west of their usual spot next to the faded-green, vintage truck north of the King Center. If it gets real hot, Cass’ secret defense is to drape a wet towel around his neck.

Today the heat would have been too much with temperatures expected to reach 105 degrees. Under the shade of the tree with a slight breeze, Cass was able to flip his dogs and beat the heat.
