Civic Center Eats 2018 is off to a great start celebrating their 13th season

DENVER— Civic Center Eats, Denver’s favorite summer lunch spot returns for its 13th season. At Civic Center Eats you will find Denver’s largest gathering of food trucks which hosts over 25 food trucks every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from May 1-Oct. 4 at Denver’s Civic Center Park.

“Civic Center Eats is a really busy day for us. We usually serve around 40 people when we set up here,” said Myriah Montoya of Papa Beau’s family Italian food truck.

The 2018 season is off to one of their best starts yet averaging around 1,600 attendees each day and rotating through 83 of Denver’s favorite food trucks including 28 new vendors.

“Mac Shack is probably my favorite food truck. They have all sorts of mac and cheese, but I get the cheeseburger,” said Civic Center Eats intern, James Kilgore.

House Venezuelan food truck has consistently been there most popular vendor and they have awarded them two days per week to keep up with their high demand.

“I love Arepas House! I would eat there every day if I could,” said Jay Schielke, Civic Center Eats regular.

On top of the various food options and live music, Civic Center Eats also donates a portion of the proceeds to Civic Center Conservancy a nonprofit dedicated to restoring, enhancing and activating downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park.
